How to use Ticket Hub at the door

Validate attendees on entry — manual code entry, QR scanning, redeem in two taps.

Where to find it

Owner Portal → Ticket Hub tab

Manual code validation

For walk-up validation at a counter or desk:

  1. Ticket Hub → Validate ticket input at the top
  2. Type or paste the buyer's short code (MNG-XXXX-XXXX)
  3. Click Look up
  4. The detail modal pops with everything about that ticket
  5. Click Redeem ticket to mark it used

The code is case-insensitive and tolerant of dashes and spaces — mng xxxx xxxx works just as well as MNG-XXXX-XXXX.

QR scan flow

For scanning at a busy door:

  1. Open the buyer's QR with your phone camera
  2. URL opens → sign in if needed
  3. Tap Redeem ticket
  4. Green flash = valid · Red = blocked

Status meanings

Status Meaning Action
Issued Valid, never used Admit
Redeemed Already used Do not admit
Expired Past validity window Do not admit
Voided Manually revoked by host Do not admit
Refunded Buyer refunded Do not admit

Tips

  • Use search aggressively — buyer says "I'm Sarah from the Smith family" → search smith
  • Set up before the event — phone or tablet ready at the entrance
  • Have a backup — if their QR is lost, search by name and redeem manually
