How fees work
Two fee types: host subscription (free / $19 / $99 monthly) and 5% platform fee on paid sales.
Last updated 25 April 2026
The two fee types
1. Host subscription (monthly / annual)
What hosts pay to be listed in the Paid or Featured tier:
| Tier | Monthly (Gym/PT) | Annual (save 17%) |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | β |
| Paid | $19 / $12 | $190 / $120 |
| Featured | $99 / $59 | $990 / $590 |
2. Platform fee on sales (5%)
When a buyer pays for an event or product, MyNextGym takes 5% of the gross sale.
- Applies to paid events, paid products, subscriptions
- Doesn't apply to free events
- Non-refundable β the host bears the buyers fee on refunds
- Buyers see only the listed price (the fee is invisible to them)
Stripe processing fees (separate)
Stripe takes its own cut: ~1.75% + $0.30 for Australian cards. This is in addition to MNG's 5%.
Worked example β $50 event ticket
| Amount | |
|---|---|
| Buyer pays | $50.00 |
| Stripe processing fee | β ~$1.18 |
| MyNextGym platform fee (5%) | β $2.50 |
| Host net payout | ~$46.32 |
Why 5%
5% is on the low end for marketplaces with our level of feature breadth.
| Platform | Fee |
|---|---|
| MyNextGym | 5% |
| Eventbrite | ~3.7% + $1.79/ticket + 2.9% payment processing per order |
| Mindbody | ~5β10% |
| Airbnb | 14β18% |
| Uber | 25%+ |
